Obwarzanki Krakowskie -

Our main sales products are Kraków’s pretzels and traditional cheese from Poland’s mountainous region – Podhale. Obwarzanki [pretzels] in medieval Kraków were called obrzanki or obarzanki. The name comes from the production method, i.e. dipping raw dough in boiling water. The Latin terms circulis and circinellos indicate the circular shape of the baked product, which has been preserved to this day – and we have chosen this first Latin name for our company to emphasise how important we consider the traditional recipe of this treasure from our region to be.
