M∙A∙C Cosmetics is one of the most renowned make-up brands in the world. The M∙A∙C store at Galeria Katowicka stocks eye makeup, face makeup and care products. M∙A∙C is famous for its colorful and long-lasting eye shadows, professional foundations and makeup brushes made of top-quality natural and synthetic fibers.
The company’s flagship products (related to its charity activities) are VIVA GLAM lipstick and lip gloss. Proceeds from their sales go to the M∙A∙C AIDS Fund that supports women, men and children suffering from HIV or AIDS. In the pre-Christmas season, all M∙A∙C stores across the world sell cards designed by kids affected by HIV or AIDS. All profits are donated to selected organizations handling problems related to HIV/AIDS among children. M∙A∙C hails from Canada. It was established in 1984 in Toronto, by Trank Toskano, a hairstylist and makeup artist, and Frank Angelo, a photographer and owner of a hair salon chain.
In 1998 M∙A∙C Cosmetics became part of Estée Lauder Corporation. M∙A∙C products are available in over 70 countries, with the US-based stores generating biggest sales. The company has 7 shops in Poland (Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław and Poznań) and 2 stands in Douglas perfume stores (Łódź and Zielona Góra). The 51 m2 unit at Galeria Katowicka is the brand’s first in Silesia.
