Do you want to feel like you’re on vacation without leaving the city? Now it’s possible! Everyone is invited to a unique beach in Plac Szewczyka – sand, loungers, palm trees, sports zone, food trucks, nights with music – from today until the end of summer holidays in Galeria Katowicka’s opening hours.

Summer Chill is a great place to meet friends, spend some quality time with the family or just relax alone in the center of Katowice. Food and music will also be taken care of.

The SK – FOOD TRUCK initiative will ascertain that great food is served at the beach. June 26-28 will see Wurszcik with its curry sausage selection, Własna Robota serving hot paninis, Zapieksownia with Polish toasties and Kofeina bistro serving a vast menu of freshly squeezed juices. From Monday, June 29, new food trucks will arrive at the spot so that you’ll have a chance to try many different things throughout the summer.

Every Friday, from 5pm, a DJ recommended by ZET Chilli radio will make sure that everybody is having fun. ZET Chilli radio is one of the co-organizers of the Summer Chill event.

Holiday beach in Plac Szewczyka will be open from June 26 till August 28 in Galeria Katowicka’s opening hours (Monday-Saturday: 9am-9pm; Sunday: 10am-8pm). Entry is free. Find out more on Summer Chill.
