The “Ride & Help” charity actions, which lasted all August, has recently come to an end. Kilometers travelled on City by Bike vehicles have been summed and turned into tangible help. Galeria Katowicka will provide school supplies for children from Saint Adalbert Community Center in Katowice. Each kid will get what is necessary to kick off the school year.

”Ride & Help” was based upon an assumption that anyone renting a bicycle from City by Bike points in Katowice would contribute to the charity. Each kilometer meant PLN 1 donated by Galeria Katowicka.

The kids will get backpacks, pens, pencils, rulers, modelling clay, paints, books and copybooks.

In August, nearly 3,500 kilometers were travelled as part of the “Ride & Help” action. Bikes were rented most frequently during big events held in Katowice, especially OFF Festival and TAURON New Music Festival.

Having analyzed the needs of children from Saint Adalbert Community Center, Galeria Katowicka decided to add some extra resources to make sure every single kid would get sufficient supplies.

Galeria Katowicka came up with the idea, whereas City by Bike and City of Gardens: Culture Institute joined the action as its partners. We would like to thank everyone who joined the action.
