Visit Galeria Katowicka to see an exhibition of c. 50 posters made by the lecturers from Katowice School of Technology. What all works have in common is a specific date, with the title (“July 22. Rebirth”) referring to the revival of design values initiated by the founders of the Polish Poster School.
The posters have been created by representatives of the young generation of Silesian artists: Ryszard Pielesz, PhD, Adam Czech, PhD, Tomasz Kipka, PhD, Tomasz Jędrzejko, PhD, Michał Kacperczyk, PhD, Marcin Urbańczyk, PhD, and Marcin Bochenek.
A private view of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday, July 22, at 3 p.m, with Telewizja TVS acting as the media patron.
It is also worth seeing other displays presented at Galeria Katowicka until the end of the month. At level “+2” you can admire pictures taken by Soren Solkaer – “Souls, the Portraits that Change Others.” Level “0” offers yet another exhibition, “2014 Diplomas: Graphic Design,” showcasing the best works produced by the newly-minted graduates of the Graphic Design Institute at the Silesian University in Cieszyn.
