“Tell us your story and we will immortalize it in a photo” – these are the first words of an invitation to one of the HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT’s events in the first week of August. What have we prepared for all those who wish to spend their free time actively and creatively?
For Tuesday, August 4, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., the University of Silesia and Fundacja dla Filmu i Fotografii (Foundation for the Film and Photography) have arranged “Photohistory.” In return for an interesting story, whether real or invented, we will take a Polaroid picture to immortalize the moment and thank you for the anecdote. All photos will be used to make an online gallery of our storytellers.
Wednesday means special meetings for kids as part of Galeria Katowicka’s Small ACADEMY of Fine Arts. On August 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., RENESANS Gallery will be showing children how to make VISUALIZATIONS using projectors, colorful foils and shadows.
On Thursday, Galeria Katowicka hosts personal development classes for adults. They are conducted by Bogdan Maciejak, personal development coach and motivational speaker boasting over 20 years of experience. On August 6, at 5 p.m., we’ll learn about “Taming the Dragon of Emotions.” After the meeting, participants can enjoy 15-minute relaxation sessions accompanied by peaceful music. They start every half an hour.
All activities within the HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT are free-of-charge and held at level “+2” of Galeria Katowicka. Some are offered on the first-come first-served basis. For more information on the project and the schedule, click here.
