August’s second weekend is coming up, bringing a new range of unique events as part of the HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT.
For Friday, August 7 (5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.), the University of Development has prepared “Under Pressure” classes during which we’ll learn what electric current is, how it is generated and how to make good use of it. The electrical workshops will be a great opportunity to learn through play. Participants will find out how to make light bulbs out of a pencil, build a small engine, develop a magnet train or generate electricity from fruit. The agenda also includes another workshop on robots.
On Saturday, August 8 (1 p.m. – 5 p.m) and Sunday, August 9 (12 p.m. – 4 p.m.), Renesans Gallery will hold workshops for Very Young Designers as part of the “Family Inspirations.” Kids and their parents can spend some time together and enjoy the results of their work.
Both Saturday, August 8 (5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m) and Sunday, August 9 (10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.) will also offer a chance to have some fun with Trip Theater. This week’s theme is circus. We’ll practice skills which allow us to make others laugh, as well as learn some techniques used by clowns. These workshops are bound to leave you smiling from ear to ear.
All activities within the HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT are free-of-charge and held at level “+2” of Galeria Katowicka. Some are offered on the first-come first-served basis. For more information on the project and the schedule, click here.
