We have joined a social campaign, ”Host City Katowice,” and decided to display an original symbol of Silesian hospitality.
On Thursday (Aug. 21), a huge couch designed by Anna Głodek (the Union of Polish Architects in Katowice) and made up of 49 wooden pallets will show up at Plac Szewczyka.
On the first day of Tauron New Music Festival, the couch will be built by the campaign’s organizers, Stowarzyszenie Napraw Sobie Miasto [Fix Your City Association] and other NGOs involved in the campaign. Anyone who feels like the host of the city is more than welcome to join and help.
As thousands of music fans flock to Katowice, we want to show the city to them in this unique way, at the same time promoting hospitality in front of Galeria Katowicka.
”Host City Katowice” is coordinated by PR Pan Pikto and co-organized by a number of Katowice-based NGOs. Its objective is to provide various services for guests coming to Katowice for music festivals held in August: OFF Festival and Tauron New Music Festival.
