Galeria Katowicka strongly recommends a unique event.
On Friday, March 6, as well as the day after – Saturday, March 7, at NOSPR headquarters in Katowice, everyone will have a chance to listen to some hip-hop with a symphonic touch. MIUOSH, a 29 year old rapper from Katowice, will be performing along his 80 year old colleague – National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio (NOSPR). We will get an opportunity to hear songs both from MIUOSH’s older albums, as well as from the latest one. The Orchestra will be conducted by Radzimir Dębski (operating under the moniker of JIMEK), who is also responsible for all of the orchestral arrangements. It was precisely his remix of Beyoncé’s song, which beat 3,000 other tracks and ended up on this famous singer’s album. He is also the author of music for the new intro for “Wiadomości”, evening TV news programme. The fact that the first of the concerts was sold out in just 24 hours proves that it is an absolutely unique event. Over 1,300 people came together on Facebook and demanded a second date to be added. And it worked. The Saturday concert inaugurates the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Katowice being granted municipal rights.
