We recommend new activities offered this week as part of the Higher Level Project.
On Wednesday, August 19, Galeria Katowicka’s Small Academy of Fine Arts, created by Renesans Gallery, will host a new session, “Mirrors and unique Autoportraits.” The classes are aimed at children who can learn more about the world around them.
On Thursday, August 20, at 5 p.m., the Development Gallery will hold another personal development workshop for adults. This week’s meeting is for women, with the main theme being “Concerns or solutions – it’s up to you to decide.” The meeting will be followed by 15-minute relaxation sessions with peaceful music, starting every half an hour.
On Friday, August 21, between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., the University of Development will offer classes named “Healthy eating. Healthy growing.” Everyone who joins us will learn about fit lifestyle and proper nutrition. The “Rubber Bones” series will check what’s better – a glass of milk or Coke. We’ll use eggs to see how alcohol influences our body. We are also going to find out which juice has the most vitamin C. Participants will use potatoes to see if it’s worth consuming a lot of salt. As usual, the agenda also includes another workshop on robots.
“The Magic of Symbols,” contemplative and inquisitive art activities employing various forms of expression, such as emballage, Dadaism and Surrealism, will be conducted by Renesans Gallery on Saturday, August 22, between 1 and 5 p.m., and on Sunday, August 23, between 12 and 4 p.m.
The weekend will also see preparations for the final performance of Trip Theater – Saturday, August 22, between 5:30 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, August 23, between 10 and 11:30 a.m.
All activities within the Higher Level Project are free-of-charge and held at level “+2” of Galeria Katowicka. Some are offered on the first-come first-served basis.
