Would you like to play in your favorite movie, build unique decor and learn how the green screen technology works?

A perfect opportunity is just around the bend as Galeria Katowicka is turning into a film studio to celebrate the New Scenography Festival.

On Saturday, Sept. 27, between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m., Galeria Katowicka’s level “0” will offer a journey to the center of film, i.e. an event named “ON THE MOVIE SET. Fun with the green screen.”

You will be able to literally “enter” some popular movies, becoming a part thereof. Wearing costumes matching the times of the storyline and equipped with relevant props (e.g. hats, caps and glasses), you will act out spontaneous scenes or just pose in front of the camera.

The green screen technology allows you to pick a setting you like – Paris with the Eiffel Tower, Arizona (Wild West), a tropical island or foggy mountains.

Your performance will be recorded by a professional team. Later you can get your movie at Galeria Katowicka’s information desk and take it home.

We would like to invite both kids and adults to take part and have a great time. Remember not to wear green as that would make you invisible on the screen.
