Meet one of Poland’s top hundred photographers! Michał Cała is the author of pictures that have been displayed in the HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT Zone over the past month.
The “Silesia” exhibition, which kicked off the “Light of Times – Photography Masters” cycle, concentrates on the best era of the mining and steel industry. Fascinated by the overwhelming and destruction-filled landscape, the author was documenting the growth and fall of the industrial power.
During the meeting, Michał Cała will share his thoughts on the Silesian photos taken between 1975 and 1992, covering what the author found most appealing and attention-worthy in the local landscape. It will also be possible to buy an album and get an autograph.
Come to the HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT Zone in Galeria Katowicka (level +2) on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m.
“Light of Times – Photography Masters” is a three-part cycle of unique photo exhibitions arranged by Negatyw Gallery. The second instalment will focus on the works of Jan Bułhak, commonly referred to as the “father of Polish photography.”
