Galeria Katowicka is a place where many attractive events take place. We are happy to inform you that recently, in the CO-WORKING ROOM at +2 level, the defence of a master’s thesis of a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice had taken place. Sandra Trela defended her master’s theses entitled: “Perception room” (Postrzegalnia).
The work was composed of 3 optical installations – two stands allowing for an alternative perception of a landscape paintings, a table, which changed reflections and a series of graphics created using the stands. “Perception room” was constructed to give a pretext to admire different landscape paintings – although transparent – presented in various contexts. The same thing can be observed from various perspectives and distances and the installation in the “Perception room” was supposed to highlight the differences between such perspectives.
Sandra Trela was preparing her master’s thesis in the Intermedia and Digital Techniques Studio under the supervision of dr Dariusz Gajewski, at the Faculty of Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
Congratulations!
