Katowice History Museum has become yet another partner of our HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT and will be holding #Artwards classes over the upcoming weeks.
The first #Artwards classes are scheduled for Wednesday, October 7, 4:30 p.m. They will cover Romanesque and Gothic art in Poland and across Europe. Following the lectures, the organizers are going to conduct Gothic calligraphy workshops.
#Artwards focuses on selected aspects of Art History, starting from prehistoric times to the 21st century. The courses are targeted at high school students learning for their Matura exam in Art History, and adults interested in the subject.
The classes will take place in the HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT Zone at Galeria Katowicka. They are going to consist of a lecture and a practical session during which participants will be analyzing paintings, sculptures and architectural works, recognizing the authors’ style and focusing on the symbolic meaning.
