We would like to recommend two HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT events scheduled for Wednesday, October 28.
At 4:30 p.m. we are going to start the fourth meeting of the #Artwards cycle. Classes arranged by Katowice History Museum cover selected issues from the history of art, from prehistoric times until now. Each meeting includes a lecture and a practical part. This week’s class, “At the Court of Stanisław II August. Classicism in Europe,” will be taught by Sabina Rotowska. Following the theoretical part, every participant will get a chance to design their own ex libris.
At 6:00 p.m. visitors can take part in another lecture, “Polish photography and Jan Bułhak’s aesthetics. Now and then.” It will be presented by Krzysztof Jurecki, one of Poland’s leading art critics. The lecture is an accompanying event for the exhibition of Jan Bułhak’s works, which is now underway at Negatyw Gallery in Galeria Katowicka’s HIGHER LEVEL PROJECT Zone. The primary objective is to discuss the impact of the “National Photography” program and its aesthetics in the 1920s, 1930s and after WWII.
