Pijalnia Czekolady E. Wedel
It all started in 1851 when Karol Ernest Wedel, a young confectioner from Berlin, came to Warsaw and opened a small shop on Miodowa Street, offering chocolate and caramel. In 1894 Karol’s son Emil moved the shop and factory to a new building on Szpitalna Street. It is still there today, and it houses the oldest shop and café – E.Wedel Chocolate Café “Staroświecki Sklep” [Antique Store]. In Galeria Katowicka customers may experience the best in chocolate. In E.Wedel Chocolate Café one can find the magic of chocolate and its unique character. Apart from exceptional drinking chocolate, the customers will find many other sweets which simply have to be tasted – e.g. various desserts and hand-made pralines. E.Wedel Chocolate Café is located on level 0, next to the exit to the railway station.
